When you are sailing with Disney Cruise Line, dinner is much more than a meal; it’s an adventure. We are here to share all the dining adventures onboard the Disney Wish! From casual food on deck to themed experiences, there is something for every taste bud on the Disney Wish.
First, I will take you through the themed restaurants that Guests cycle through during their sailing. Disney Cruise Line rotates guests between multiple dining options during sailings, and your waitstaff and servers travel with you on this journey. This allows the Cast Members to get to know you, your tastes, and your preferences.
Let’s dig in and take a bite out of Worlds of Marvel, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, and 1923.
Worlds of Marvel
On our first night, we stepped into the World of Marvel for a superhero-themed adventure! Ant-Man and Wasp lead Guests through their meal with surprising and hilarious antics. When things go inevitably wrong, they are joined by several other Marvel heroes to save the ship (and dinner)! This interactive dining experience was more than just dinner theater. It made us really feel a part of the story.
Disney Cruise Line hit it out of the park with the theming and attention to detail at this new restaurant. Even the silverware was themed!
But of course, we also have to talk about the food! Since Disney Cruise Line allows for an all-you-can-eat service, we definitely put on our super-appetites to try as many things as possible. Here is a look at some of our tasty orders.
Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure
On our second night, Guests were invited to attend the engagement party for Princess Anna and Kristoff. Since this was an official Arendelle event, it was also attended by Queen Elsa, Olaf, Oaken, and traveling minstrels. Again, the theming of this restaurant was absolutely amazing! Walking into the restaurant is like walking into the castle of Arendelle. Portraits of the royal family line the walls, frozen portholes allow you to rest after you have stuffed way too much chocolate in your face, and embroidered napkins add regal style.
Since this is a Frozen-themed experience, the food is inspired by Norway, Germany, and Estonia. We ate heartily at this engagement party and left full of music, laughter, and good food.
While the food is a stand-out, the real start of the night is the amazing entertainment! We were absolutely enchanted by the singers and musicians here. Lindsay totally asked if there was a Spotify playlist for the singing minstrel group!
We had a front-row seat to the show, where Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and Oaken entertained Guests with favorite songs from Frozen and Frozen 2.
1923
Finally, the third restaurant onboard is 1923! There are two sides to the restaurant (Walt Disney and Roy Disney) and both are themed to look like you are walking into a swanky and exclusive restaurant.
To be honest, this was my favorite restaurant of the three! There is so much to see (and eat!) here. The restaurant is filled with display cases, showing highlights and artwork of favorite Disney Princess films. I loved the Moana section, Lindsay loved Beauty and the Beast, and Michelle loved Tangled. There was something for all of us here!
When it came to actually dining, this was my favorite food as well. It was a more up-scale experience, and I really enjoyed my selections. Lindsay is a vegetarian and she also thought that this restaurant had the best options for her.
While this restaurant does not have a “show” involved, the artwork and theming of the space is a show and experience on its own! Plus, we were too busy trying everything on the menu to notice much else going on around us.
Now that we have looked at the dinner dining adventures onboard the Disney Wish, it’s time to take a bit out of the more casual fare available onboard. Both Marceline Market and Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods allow Guests to eat to their heart’s content on delish comfort food, international favorites, and fresh seafood options.
Marceline Market
Designed to look like the fanciest farmer’s market you’ve ever been to, Marceline Market truly has something for every taste bud! Open for breakfast and lunch, Guests can enjoy a wide range of food options while they are surrounded by cozy touches and market style. We enjoyed breakfast here each day, and even spent a few lunches dining here as well!
We were all obsessed with the flowerpot light fixtures! They were so much fun to look at and the perfect photo opportunity. Of course, attention to detail is not lacking here either. Just look at the colander light fixtures we spotted in one of the dining areas!
Now, taking a look at the food, you will see just how many options there really are at Marceline Market! The Maiden Voyage was 5 nights, and I was still not able to try everything this market had to offer. From fresh seafood to international dishes, to endless rows of cookies – make sure to come hungry!
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods takes dining on deck to a whole new level! Designed to look like pop-up street food vendors, these themed counters really elevate the casual dining experience.
Donald’s Cantina
A favorite of both Lindsay and I, Donald’s Cantina allows Guests to customize burritos, tacos, and bowls to their exact preferences.
Goofy’s Grill
Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue
This was Michelle’s favorite counter, and she said the ribs were amazing! I can also confirm that the brisket was really delicious as well!
Daisy’s Pizza Pies
Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream
As you can see, you will never go hungry with so many dining adventures onboard the Disney Wish! From upscale restaurants, innovative menus, entertaining shows, and delicious casual options, there is something for every Guest. Even the pickiest eater is sure to leave the ship with a full belly! We did not even mention the various lounges that offer snacks, the Joyful Sweets dessert shop, or the room-service options!
If you’re a Disney foodie that loves food, you will be thrilled and amazed with what the Disney Wish has to offer when it comes to dining adventures!
