What’s Your Passion Jewelry had a booth at the D23 Expo 2017. If you haven’t heard of the company just yet, comic book “geeks” everywhere can rejoice.
The company is spearheaded by a sister and brother duo who offer officially licensed collectible, fine Marvel jewelry. Ari, the President and Founder of WYP, is a self-declared “geek jeweler making geek jewelry.” The family has been in the fine jewelry business for a whopping 35 years.
WYP offers five pieces made for Disney that are NOT yet available online, only in the Disney Store.
These five pieces include the “I am Groot” (engraved on underside) bead as part of the Infinity Bead Collection.
Only available in the Disney Store: “I am Groot” as part of the Infinity Bead collection, Captain America pin (now sold out, 50 made for Disney) each individually numbered and enamalled with its own certificate, beads with enamel.
Also included are the Spiderman, Guardians, and Captain America beads as part of the Infinity Bead Collection. Like the “I Am Groot” bead, flip these over and there is an etched word; Captain America is “Honor”, Guardians is “Defy Expectations”, and Spiderman is “Responsibility.”
WYP Jewelry prizes itself on all of its products made everything made in the U.S., aside from the sterling silver chains handcrafted in Italy.
Metals, boxes, certificates, new leather cords, enamel all made in U.S.
Most expensive of the WYP Jewelry line-up is Doctor Strange’s Eye of Agamotto necklace – but look how stunning! It is a replica of the relic worn by Doctor Strange himself.
This Black Panther Ring is based on the ancient and sacred Wakandan relic, passed from father to son. Though it’s not made of 100% pure virbanium, it is still dazzling.
Howard and Tony Stark’s Arc Rector can provide you with power via this Arc Reactor necklace, available in turquoise or black.
“The Merc with a Mouth” Deadpool necklace purchase will fund Deadpool’s chimichang addition. Huh?! Deadpool himself etched a fitting engraving on the back of the necklace, “I love chimichangas.”
It’s not that I’m not a Thor fan but with this Hammer of Thor necklace, I just might become one! It would be excellent for a Disney Bounding look, don’tcha think?!
It bears the engraving ” Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” The blend of gold and silver has my attention. It is available in sterling silver or gold plating, to be worn on a leather cord or chain – I kinda dig the wrapped leather cord look!
While the Captain American Shield necklace is not 100% pure vibranium, you’ll find this shield a fitting replica right down to Cap’s straps on the back!
Ms. Marvel’s Avengers pendants in silver OR 14k gold are $149 and come with a 22″ chain. Available are Arc Reactor Turquoise, Black Widow Black, Captain America Blue, Deadpool Pink, Hawkeye Purple, Hulk Green, Iron Man Red, and Miss Marvel Yellow.
The Guardians of the Galaxy ring designed by her – prototype, sterling silver with rhodium plating to protect the silver from tarnishing. The ring is crafted of saw silver with rough polish, with the crest at front, and the body of the Milano throughout.
On display were earrings never-before-seen (flown in just the night prior to D23!), – not even seen by Marvel!
Usually with fine jewelry and licensed product there is a high ticket price, especially if it has a Disney or Marvel stamp, but these items are affordable at $250 – $395 in sterling silver; 14k gold options obviously skyrocket the cost into the thousands.
