It’s Wild in the Wilderness

It’s the first resort I ever remember staying at. I can remember clear as day walking into our camper with our Mickey Balloons at the end of a long day.

How clever is the designer of these ears! Tying in the nature aspect of the campground, each ear is represented by the cross section of a tree. Two green leaves together with carefully placed acorns create the illusion of an organic bow.

Fort Wilderness Ears

Next, the rear view of the ears again looks like a tree. However, this time there is an addition of “Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground” on one ear and pinecones. leaves and acorns on the second.

Lastly, the leather ears are padded, allowing the side of the ears to display a faux tree bark pattern. Identically to bark covering the length of a tree, here it continues down on to the headband with the exception of the inside of the headband. The inside is covered in a soft fabric for comfort.
