Joey Chou has made magic once again and is quickly becoming one of my favorite Disney artists. The new Joey Chou x Dooney & Bourke collection is now online and I cannot run to my wallet quick enough!
While this is not the first Joey Chou collection for the brand, it is certainly my favorite! I am in LOVE with the purple color scheme and the artwork. The Tote has Cinderella Castle, Orange Bird, the Partners statue, and so many of my favorite attractions. The Satchel and Wallet are also bursting with character and Chou’s signature art style really shines through.
First, let’s talk about the bag that is already in my shopping cart. The Tote bag! Like I said, I am loving this look. Purple is my favorite color, so my heart was already melting for this one, but the large artwork on both sides of the bag sealed the deal for me. I am going to be in purse jail for a while after this one, but for me, it’s totally worth it! The tote bag is online for $328.
Next, we need to give the Satchel its own moment. I know fashionistas have mixed opinions of this style of bag. However, it is actually one of my favorite silhouettes that Dooney & Bourke releases, so I am already a fan. I love that it’s big enough to store all my essentials but can still work as a crossbody style so I can easily race around through my busy day. But enough but the silhouette – let’s talk about the artwork!
Both the Satchel and the Wallet feature a rich purple background topped with Disney characters crafted in Chou’s signature style. Placement is going to be super important with this release! You are definitely going to want to make sure that you get a placement that features your favorite characters front and center. Some of the characters you’ll find on this design include Simba, Cheshire Cat, Partners Statue (not really a character, but iconic nonetheless), Mickey Mouse, Dumbo, Stitch, Tinker Bell, and more!
