As the resident foodie here at Disney Fashionista, I love all things Disney food, so you know this July Foodie News is super exciting for me! Let’s dive in!
Cítricos
First up, let’s talk about the fabulous newly reimagined Cítricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa which pays homage to Mary Poppins Returns, particularly the film’s animated sequence! This fabulous restaurant opens on July 15th and bookings will be available starting July 1st!
The scrumptious new menu features dishes from Chef Andres Mendoza including starters like Sweet Corn Bisque (with pickled fennel, popcorn, and fennel oil) and Strawberry Salad (with chamomile-infused goat cheese, frisée lettuce, bacon vinaigrette, and spiced sunflower seeds). Entrées include Butter-Poached Florida Cobia (with mashed fingerling potatoes, grilled asparagus, and local mushrooms with a grapefruit beurre blanc) and Guava Barbequed Short Ribs (with aged cheddar creamy grits, roasted poblano, curtido slaw, and Brussels sprouts).
You can finish your meal with Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer’s creations like a Warm Apple Rose (seasonal apple, marzipan layers, and frozen coconut milk) or a Chocolate Torte (dark chocolate financier, dark cherry compote, and vanilla bean mascarpone cream). There is even a Sommelier Room where Sommelier Israel Perez will pick the perfect boutique wine for your meal.
Trail’s End Restaurant
If you prefer something a bit more casual, but just as tasty, then head over to Trail’s End Restaurant at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness reopening on July 17th! You can chow down on family-style skillets for breakfast and dinner! Breakfast includes items like pastries, berry granola yogurt parfaits, smoked brisket, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheesy potato casserole, and Mickey waffles! There are even Moonshine Morning Cocktails like the Pioneer Mimosa with passion, orange, and guava juices and a Mountain Mary with moonshine! Dinner features hushpuppies, skillet cornbread, chopped garden salad, pecan-smoked brisket, rotisserie chicken, andouille sausage, fingerling potatoes, green beans, and buttered corn on the cob. You can even add on pork spare ribs, peel n’ eat shrimp, and cornbread-crusted salmon! Finish dinner with the Covered Wagon Sundae (a wagon load of ice cream, toppings, brownies, cookies, and chocolate-covered bacon)! Of course, there are Moonshine Cocktails available at dinner too!
Casey’s Corner
One of my favorite in-park eateries, Casey’s Corner, reopened today, June 30th! Here, you can grab a Chili-Cheese All-Beef Hot Dog, Corn Dog Nuggets, a plant-based Loaded Slaw Dog, or my favorite refreshing beverage, a Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade! Plus, mobile order is available!
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
Starting July 7th, you can hop across the street to Plaza Ice Cream Parlor hosted by Edys for tons of tasty ice cream options, Barq’s Root Beer Floats, and Coca-Cola Floats!
Eight Spoon Café and Dino Diner
Eight Spoon Café at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is now open and has offerings like Baked Macaroni & Cheese that comes with or without pulled pork and the Pulled Pork Jelly Donut Sandwich! Dino Diner will reopen on July 4th with offerings like a Dino-Rama Chili-Cheese Dog, Corn Chip Pie, and Churros!
Salt & Straw
If you’re like me and have always wanted to visit Salt & Straw at Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, but you haven’t had the opportunity, you’re in luck! A new location is heading to Disney Springs next year!!! I can’t wait to get the full scoop on this new addition to my favorite magical shopping destination!
Disney Family Night Dinner
Last, but certainly not least, is this fabulous new summer offering that starts today, June 30th!
