In the past, I have always had a hard time finding Hanukkah items. While Christmas stuff comes out in early fall full force, I usually only find one or two things later in the year. This year, that is so not the case! Check out the shopDisney website. There is enough 2023 Disney Hanukkah Merch to keep the celebrations going all 8 crazy nights and beyond.
Kitchen Items
Nothing says the holiday season quite like eating yummy food with your family and friends. And there is no better way to enjoy it than with some Disney kitchenware. Your meal can begin with appetizers served on this breathtaking serving platter. The Mickey platter has a dreidel on one ear and a menorah on the other. A golden Mickey head glistens on this platter, which is really a piece of art.
After all the yummy appetizers have been eaten, you and your guests can begin enjoying your meal on one of these salad plates. While each plate is slightly different, they all share the same common theme. Each one has the classic Hanukkah colors of blue, white, and gold. They also have intricate designs featuring Mickey heads, Hanukkah treats, dreidels, and menorahs.
And what holiday would be complete without cookies?! When I was little, we had to make our own dreidel cookie cutter because we couldn’t find one in the store. With this set of cookie cutters, we no longer have to do that! The set includes five Hanukkah-themed cookie cutters. I just love the variety! There are two different-sized Mickey heads, a star, a dreidel, and a menorah. The packaging is also really nice! This would make a nice present for a gift exchange or a fun addition to a holiday cooking basket.
The final kitchen item is this Kitchen Towel. I already have the perfect place for it! It would go great in between my white classic Hanukkah towels that already hang in my kitchen each year. The towels that I already own have tiny blue dreidels and small yellow menorahs that look very similar to the dreidels and menorahs that are on this towel. This “Love You a Latke” towel is sure to add an extra bit of fun and humor to my kitchen this holiday season.
Clothing
Christmas isn’t the only holiday that gets to join in on the fun of holiday sweaters! While this Hanukkah Sweater is far from ugly, it’s still a whole lot of fun! Mickey is dressed in his best holiday attire and holds a fully lit menorah. The knit design gives off an air of nostalgia, that fits right in with the tradition and rich Jewish history that is celebrated throughout the Hanukkah season.
If you and your family are headed to the parks for Hanukkah, then you need this Hanukkah shirt. It comes in a variety of different sizes, so you can all celebrate Hanukkah while you are at the parks.
There is even a hoodie with a matching design. That way, your relatives, like me, can join in on the matching fun and stay warm at the same time. I really enjoyed this design because it reminded me of past Hanukkahs when I played dreidel at the JCC with some of my friends and students. A big group would gather around and watch the dreidel spin, just like we see Mickey and his gang doing here. It’s cool to see them doing something that I enjoy doing and I think that a lot of Jewish children would enjoy it and feel more included because of the design on this shirt and hoodie.
There is also another Minnie and Daisy shirt that goes along with the theme of the first Hanukkah shirt. Here we see Minnie and Daisy’s Hanukkah tradition. Making Latke! They are wearing their finest holiday apparel, ready to serve these scrumptious treats to all of their friends.
And if wearing matching outfits at the parks wasn’t enough, Disney also released matching Hanukkah Pajamas for the entire family. These festive PJs are available in men’s, women’s, and children’s sizes. The PJs have a blue border and have what looks like Hanukkah confetti sprinkled all over them. There are Mickey and Minnie heads, dreidels, and menorahs sprinkled all over the PJs. All around them, stars twinkle. Wearing these PJs is sure to make dreidels spin in your head as you sleep.
Accessories
The final item in this collection is a Mickey and Minnie Mouse Hanukkah Mini Backpack. Mickey and Minnie peek out from behind the front panel and look at the glowing menorah. The look in their eyes is of pure joy and amazement, just like the look that so many children get as they look at their own menorah. There are also tiny dreidels under the menorah. It looks like the pair had a lot of fun celebrating the holiday.
Best of all, the menorah lights up, which is very fitting for a bag celebrating the festival of lights.
