All Disney vacations are magical – and adding a Disney Resort in-room celebration makes a resort stay have extra pixie dust!
I recently stayed at Grand Floridian with my family, and this DVC stay, I had a plan! My dad recently graduated with his doctorate, and my husband, son, and I wanted to do something special for him during our visit. However, while Disney resorts do have gift experiences for your room, we decided to create our own magic!
Step one was ordering this delicious Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake from Gasparilla Island Grill! I am such a fan of these cakes – I even got one for my son’s birthday and brought it home (#perksofbeinglocal). They are available at most resort quick services for $39 and feed 4-6 people. You can choose from chocolate or white chocolate, and I can attest that both are equally delicious! The fun part is that there are engraving options, so you can have them say “Happy Birthday,” “Happy Anniversary,” or “Congratulations!” They are such a fun way to honor a loved one and make your stay even more celebratory. Plus, mobile ordering makes purchasing one so easy!
I also ordered decorations from Amazon and we put them up when my dad was at dinner. These Mickey Mouse decorations or these Disney Princess decorations would be so cute to use. Just remember to pack tape for easy decorating and removal!
