Now that I have basically given you all the important facts, let’s take a closer look at the FOUR designs in this collection. I swear Coach is knocking it out of the park with today’s releases!
The red leather pair features patches of Minnie and Goofy, a fun and different pairing! I love the other embellishments, too. There is a mix of patches and pins (or what look like pins). The mix of colors of metals is also stunning, such as the gold of the Mickey head silhouette and the brushed gold/bronze of the flower. Simply gorgeous!
As for the 2016, I am thinking this is for when Shanghai Disneyland opened!
The yellow leather ears feature Minnie, Donald, and Goofy in patch form. Mickey is there, obviously, but he is in more of a pin form. The other embellishments are similar, if not the same as, the red pair.
1992 is when Disneyland Paris opened (or EuroDisney for those of us that remember)!
The black pair is completely different in that it is dated! The side of the ears is embroidered with the year of Walt Disney World’s opening! Individual patches now represent the actual park as opposed to characters. Of course, Mickey is still there because it did all start with a mouse.
Now I am really going to throw you for a loop. These beautiful white ears feature patches of Donald and Goofy as well as a Mickey pin. The date, however, is all about Disneyland! There are no Disneyland embellishments other than the date. These are an interesting pair of Ears to be released with the 50th Anniversary Disney x Coach collection, in my opinion.
