Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Park is getting a fabulous makeover, and I can’t wait to see it! Toontown as we know it will close in March 2022 and will reopen in 2023!
The newly reimagined Toontown will have new experiences that allow families and young ones the opportunity to play together! It will be a colorful and vibrant area with new play experiences and open grassy areas to enjoy some downtime! There will even be places for parents to relax for a bit! Toontown will be greener, more spacious, and have more attractions and activities than ever before including everything from tactile play to active play!
Kids can play, slide, spin, splash, touch, and listen in fabulous places like CenTOONial Park with two interactive play experiences and a play fountain with water tables at the center–which will be the new icon for the area! At night, the fountain will even come to life! The nearby dreaming tree, inspired by the tree Walt Disney used to daydream under when he was young, will feature sculpted roots allowing for playing, crawling, and exploring! There will also be hills to relax, sit, and dream! Of course, Toontown will still be home to Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and more! To top it all off, the new attraction, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will add to the magic!
