I have mentioned just a few days ago that we are all anxiously awaiting the new live action Cinderella movie and Hot Topic must have felt our excitement. There is a brand new, though small, collection of clothing inspired by the new film available for pre-order right now! The collection will be available February 24th but for now let’s take a look at the collection that you can pre-order now at Hot Topic.
I’m going to start with this high waisted skirt. This style is very current but the rest of it is so unique! The design on the fabric is clearly inspired by the film and it is displayed in a very tasteful way, I think it doesn’t make this skirt look gimicky at all but makes it look artsy. The reverse scalloped hemline with peekaboo tulle is just fun! This skirt is $34.50 but currently on pre-sale for $27.60.
This stripe cropped knit top pairs perfectly with the skirt. It has a sweetheart neckline, which is flattering for most body types and accents the skirt. It has vertical stripes which are quite slimming. This top is $23.90 which is down from $29.50.
This Peasant dress is reminiscent of Cinderella prior to her ball gown days. It has a sweetheart neckline, lace-up corset bodice, lace-up back and pleated skirt. The pattern is muted but pleasantly feminine. It is currently on sale for $39.60, down from $49.50. I think it would make a lovely dress for spring.
Okay, I’m going to be honest. I have no idea where I would wear this dress but I absolutely love it. I suppose if I had a school dance to go to or a costume party even but this dress is perfect to me. I love how well it represents the Cinderella ball gown from the live action film yet I don’t feel like it is quite as costumey. It has a lovely damask print and full circle tulle skirt. The back is lace-up and the off the shoulder look works for this dress. It is currently on sale for $51.60, down from $64.50.
The Victorian waistcoat is perfect for the time in which the movie is set. It is elegant and fashionable. This coat has a suede shell and a satin print lining. I absolutely love the notch slipper design button closure. This coat can even be hand washed which is so convenient! It currently costs $63.60 on sale from $79.50.
Remember that this collection is not yet available except for pre-orders and will become available February 24th.
