At D23 details were revealed for new film experiences coming to Epcot, including the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along coming to France. Beauty and the Beast and two other films, will make their debut January 17, 2020! This is also the first day of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts!
“Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along” in the France pavilion is directed and produced by Don Hahn. This is the same producer of the animated and live-action “Beauty and the Beast” films. This sing-along invites guests to participate in a twist on a tale as old as time. Also featured, is narration from Angela Lansbury, our dear beloved Mrs. Potts! The new sing-along will run in rotation with “Impressions de France,”. Impressions de France fans will be happy to know it will also receive an upgrade to 4K projection.
Other film attractions in Epcot we can look forward to include “Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360”, as well as “Awesome Planet”.
“Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360” is an update to the previous “O Canada!” film with new scenes. You can view it at the Canada pavilion, and it features a new musical score by Canadian composer Andrew Lockington. It also includes new narration by award-winning actors Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy.
“Awesome Planet” will be in The Land pavilion. It showcases the Earth’s beauty and diversity in a 10-minute film. You’ll experience spectacular imagery, and in-theater effects too! You’ll also enjoy an original musical score from Academy Award-winning® composer Steven Price. during this film.
