We saw it coming… we did. I talked about it and went in to my local store in Durham, NC and asked the super fabulous Dorothy, in cosmetics, if it was coming… now it’s here! I actually love this collection! Let me show you all that entails because there are more than just beauty books. So much more!! Let’s look at the new Disney Villains Makeup Collection from Walgreens!
I apologize for the not great quality photo but it was impossible to not get the glare from the lights in the pics! The beauty books are all $9.99 which is a steal!! I bought the one above, which is Maelficent. The purple and green hues of the eye shadows probably gave that away. There are 9 shadows, blush, lipstick, liquid eye liner, primer and a brush…. for $9.99!! That’s ridiculous! This is not like the E.L.F. beauty books that help suggest how to wear the colors but it is also $5 cheaper than my last E.L.F. beauty book. The colors all have villainous names and are perfectly in tune with Maleficent. It’s a job well done.
This is Ursula’s beauty book. The colors are more the colors of the sea, in my opinion. Some of the colors are Sea Witch, Under Water, Flotsum, Jetsam and Vanessa. Genius! There are 9 colors, an eye pencil, blush, blush brush and lip gloss. It’s a stellar beauty book, indeed.
This pallette belongs to the Evil Queen and, I will admit, it was a lot more neutral than I would have thought. I do like it, though. The colors are names like Dungeon, Curse, Her Highness and Magic Spell. Obviously perfect for the villain of choice. The beauty book consists of 9 eye shadows, blush, eye liner, lip gloss, a bronzer and a brush. All of this is for $9.99. I cannot get over it.
There are 3 lipsticks at $3.49 a piece! I bought Ursula’s. The small vial with Ursula on it is a highlighting powder… for $3.49! You don’t want to know how much my one from MAC is. I am trying this one out this week to see if it compares. The other 2 pictured are blushes.
There are eye palettes only, mini kits and blush brushes…. so many choices!
There are even makeup removal cloths! They seriously have thought of everything!
I can’t stress how difficult it was for me to chose just one of these 3 collections. I was sad not to see Cruella but we all knew, based on the release of the bags and the nail polish, that she was left out this round. I am wondering if Disney stepped back from Beautifully Disney to try this instead. I know these do well so I hope they keep it up, as I was devastated when Beautifully Disney was discontinued!!
