Godchildren of the Disney Wish
Disney Cruise Line recently shared that all Make-A-Wish children will be honored as godchildren of the Disney Wish. This is a first in Disney Cruise Line history! Not only that, but the Make-A-Wish godchildren also get to play a special role in the Disney Wish christening. You can watch live HERE on Disney Parks Blog on at 11 AM EST on June 29, 2022! In addition, magical godmothers including Patty Disney and Tinker Bell will join the Disney Wish godchildren for this occasion.
Make-A-Wish Merchandise
Looking for a magical way to support Make-A-Wish? Disney Cruise Line supports the amazing work that wish-granting organizations do on a daily basis. These efforts include the donation of a statement aboard a Disney Wish sailing and a new merchandise collection.
This collaboration includes a Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse plush, spirit jersey, ears, trading pin and tumbler. 10% of the purchase price from the sale of every item in the Disney Wish Limited Edition collection will be donated to Make-A-Wish. In short, Disney Fashionistas can feel good about shopping this collection. This donation lasts from now until July 18, 2023. This collection will be available aboard the Disney Wish. In addition, select items will be available for purchase on ShopDisney HERE between July 18, 2022. I know the Disney Fashionista team is super excited to see it in person on the maiden voyage!
The stateroom donation aboard a sailing of the Disney Wish raised more than $260,000. These proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish and Give Kids The World Village. Give Kids The World Village is incredibly special to us here at Disney Fashionista! It is a nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides magical week-long wish vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families at no cost.
