Something oh so curious is releasing exclusively at Disneyland Resort this Saturday, March 14. We are talking about the new Harveys Alice in Wonderland Poster Tote. This curiouser and curiouser item was previewed on the Harveys newsletter blast and we cannot wait to add it to our collections here at The Disney Fashionista.
It’s been a few months since Harveys has shifted their Disney Collaborations distribution to be through Disney Store and Disney Parks exclusively. In this case, we can see that this poster tote is part of the exclusive offerings for the Disneyland 70th celebration at Disneyland Resort. There is a tag that reads “Disneyland Resort Vault Collection 70”.
Our guess is this will be a release available inside the park at Disneyland only, very much like the Popcorn Bucket streamlined tote, also from the Vault a couple of months ago. We didn’t get them online and went straight to become collectors’ items. We shall see what happens this weekend. Maybe it even shows up at D Landers in Downtown Disney, where we’ve seen park only items available before.
Let’s talk about the bag, it is a classic poster tote style, which is honestly roomy and practical for a day at the parks or everyday life. This 6 belts tall bag features one main compartment for storage with one interior pocket. We don’t know what the lining will be like, whether it will be classical Harveys brand print or something Alice in Wonderland related. Remember, this is not the only release we had with this theme recently, as we got these bright and fun colored bags from Disney Store not too long ago.
The artwork on the front of the bag is lovely, it shows Alice being dazzled by all the characters in her story. We can see, top far left, the rabbit on the outside of the hole where Alice falls through, calling for her. But we also see the Caterpillar, Cheshire Cat, The March Hare, the Dodos and Flowers. This image is shown only on the front of the bag, hence the name Poster Tote. This style became famous on the Disneyland 60th celebration when Harveys introduced it while showcasing the posters for some of the Disneyland attractions. These bags became collectibles instantly, and we welcome the nod to these memorabilia items 10 years later.
As for the colors of this bag, we can see a purple-toned body with dark teal accents, including a long drop handle and crossbody or shoulder strap. This bag is the perfect spring companion to your adventures while celebrating the colors and vibes of the original Alice in Wonderland art.
