This year Chinese New Year celebrates the year of the rat! Of course we can also look at it as the mouse, which makes the new Mickey Mouse Gucci Collection the perfect way to celebrate. That’s right, Gucci is collaborating with Disney once more, for an assortment of high end Mickey marvels.
We’ve seen Gucci and Disney team up before, like with those statement making Mickey bags, and Men’s Donald Duck Collection from last year. It makes sense to celebrate with Mickey for the Chinese New Year 2020. It is being called the Year of the Mouse, and what mouse is more iconic than Mickey?
Gucci has re-designed a trio of popular menswear pieces with Mickey! A coated canvas coat showcases an all-over Mickey design, while there is also a short-sleeved wool shirt sports in plaid, and a lightweight cotton gauze shirt! These pieces bring back a timeless vintage feel, while still showcasing Mickey and Minnie is a stylishly contemporary way. These are designer pieces, so they do have designer prices. You can expect the coat to retail for $4,900, the wool shirt is $950, and the cotton shirt for $930.
The Disney and Gucci’s Chinese New Year collaboration will be releasing on matchesfashion.com on January 25.
