It’s November and we are now in full holiday mode. Snow is already falling and I’m ready to get some new items from the NBC Holiday Collection from Her Universe. You can check it and so many more festive look out here on the Hot Topic Website.
Sweaters and Vests
Now that it is starting to get darker sooner and the weather is getting cold, all I want to do is hibernate. Because that really isn’t an option, the next best thing is to fill my closet with festive looks that will keep me warm. The first item to draw my attention was this Nightmare Before Christmas Girls Sweater Vest, found here. While the black and purple color scheme of the vest doesn’t scream holiday season, the Christmas Lights, presents, and Santa Jack Skellington definitely do! I love the creepy toys on the vest. I also really appreciate that there are bats fluttering all over the vest, mixed in with falling snow. Clearly the designer is trying to give a nod to both people who think that the movie is a Halloween movie and those who are team Christmas.
The second cozy item is this Sherpa Cardigan, found here. This hoodie has a sherpa trimming along the front and hood for extra warmth on those cold winter nights. It also has pockets, which can double as hand warmers when the weather is super cold. On the cardigan, we see bats, skeletons, spiders, and of course, the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington. This cardigan isn’t associated with a particular holiday, making it great for any time that you are cold or just want to feel extra cozy.
We’ve saved the coziest item for last! This Oversized Hoodie, found here, looks like a warm hug. I am sure that Olaf would approve! Like the cardigan, this hoodie can be worn whenever you please. Jack, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and some skeleton friends can all be seen floating on the hoodie. It even has a huge front pocket to either hold your belongings or keep your hands feeling extra warm.
Fancy Styles
In addition to all of the items in the collection that will keep you warm, there is also this Velvet Dress which is just asking to go to a holiday party. The dress, found here, has subtle lace detailing on the edges. Jack heads dance around the skirt. Just like you’ll want to do after you put it on! Finally, Jack’s tie sits on the neck of the dress, so you’ll finally be able to match with your favorite Pumpkin King.
