Coach has partnered with Disney once more to bring a new Pre-Fall collection with a dark and romantic twist on classic Disney tales we love. This new Disney x Coach Pre Fall Collection veers away from the cutesy and frilly princess looks, and embraces a more gothic edge.
According to Her World the Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers called the collection “a gothic, romantic fairytale”. Vevers used inspiration from American rock legends, to give a darker side to Disney’s Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. I think it’s a fitting twist for these characters, since their films have such dark villains.
The villains from these stories are definetly embraces, poison apples, and looming castles adorn coach classics, and apparel. Leather bags that feature floral motifs inspired by the Seven Dwarfs take the spot light with embroidered patches, and metallic hardware. It won’t just be purses, flirty apparel that blends dark elements with soft character details will also be available.
