I was having a lazy morning till I heard this huge news! The new runDisney New Balance 2017 shoes have been revealed. What?!! I am super stoked to share these pictures with you. I will admit I don’t have a ton of info but lets delve into what I do know!!!
The muses for the 4 designs this year are Toy Story Mania, Mad Tea Party ( I cannot even begin to contain my excitement about this one), The Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain. I love that they have used attractions, as opposed to characters, as the inspiration this year!!!
When I have looked up numbers in the past, I was able to decipher if the shoe was for men or women but this year the number of the shoe has been designated to both sexes. Are the shoes going unisex this year? The colors would certainly indicate that could be the case. The Toy Store Mania shoe reminds me a little bit of the men’s Goofy shoe from a couple of years ago. I love the contrast of the complimentary colors, orange and blue! So vibrant!
I am excited to see these in person. My whole wedding was themed around the Mad Tea Party so you know I am going to need these shoes. The color combo is another that could work for both sexes. They could have made these super feminine, if you think of the colors of the attraction, but they really dialed it down. Unisex?
Who doesn’t love The Haunted Mansion?? I know it is one of my favorites! The color scheme totally reminds me of the ride. I am trying to decipher if the main color is blue or purple, as I find it hard to determine from this picture. I really hope it is purple because that is way more Haunted Mansion to me.
These Space Mountain shoes are fabulous! Are those stars on the front of the shoes? Another super popular attraction with relatively neutral colors…. interesting choice. I can see both men and women wanting these. I can’t wait to hear if these actually are meant t be unisex or not.
I saw all these pictures on the New Balance website but this is all they give. As far as close ups, there are none. I couldn’t find any more details out there but I had to get these out to you pronto! The website does state that the 2016 runDisney New Balance shoes will be available at Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend. It says nothing about the 2017 collection. Perhaps they will surprise us?

What look like may be “stars” on the Haunted Mansion shoes are actually the different eyes you see on the wall of the attraction. I too hope that these are unisex, as I would prefer to get these over the Space Mountain ones. They both look great, but I love the Haunted Mansion ride more, have no problem rocking purple, and the eyes are a great touch.
You’ve got the Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion shoes backwards. A few sites seem to have made this same error. No doubt the black and blue are Space Mountain while the purple is Haunted Mansion.
