As I write this, it has been 12 hours since I stepped off the Disney Wish and onto dry land. Now, I’m here to share all the shimmering seas decor that Guests can look forward to during Disney Cruise Line’s 25th anniversary.

Now, let’s take a look at all the amazing decor and updates we noticed on our sailing!
Shimmering Seas Updated Cruise Terminal
When arriving in Port Canaveral, we immediately noticed the new paint and decor of the cruise terminal. This update is such a great way to set the tone of the 25th anniversary before Guests even step onboard.
The walls are painted a lovely shade of ocean-blue aqua and the pillars are wrapped in new “Silver Anniversary at Sea” banners. For Guests who are waiting to board, a large wall proclaims that Disney Cruise Line is “where Magic meets the sea.” We couldn’t agree more!
Sparkling Ambiance of the Grand Hall
As you clear the cruise terminal and step onboard, you enter the Grand Hall. While the Grand Hall of the Disney Wish sparkles and shines on any voyage, the addition of several 25th Anniversary photo locations, shimmering banners, and updated portholes adds to the celebration.
As you can see, the Disney Fashionista Family took full advantage of these photo locations! Not only did we take a picture with our arrival looks, but we also changed into our Silver Sailings outfits so we could grab a few more fabulous shots before dinner.
Disney Characters Get a Shimmering Seas Makeover
Just as we dressed to impress for Disney Cruise Line’s 25th anniversary celebration, so did the Disney Characters. We took the opportunity to grab photos with the Sensational Six, who all received updated outfits and looks for the celebration!
Aqua, silver, white, and plenty of sparkle is the theme of these character outfits! Minnie Mouse was our muse for our Silver Sailing outfits. However, we were also very thrilled to see that our Jasmine inspired Disneybound looks also paired perfectly with the new looks of Pluto and Goofy.
During the Shimmering Soiree, you can see all of the characters in their new looks together on stage before they head onto the floor to mix and mingle with Guests.
Relax and Sparkle at Castaway Cay
I did not know that it was possible for Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island, to be any more gorgeous than it already is! However, with updates for DCL’s 25th anniversary, it somehow became even more beautiful. The largest, and most noticeable update is to Mount Rustmore.
The iconic Mount Rustmore has been given a fresh coat of paint and the aqua and silver motif really shines in the Caribbean sun! Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, and Goofy are smiling along with you as you spend the perfect day on the island.
Throughout Castaway Cay, fresh aqua paint has been given to other posts, props, and signs as well in celebration of the milestone.
The Little Details
Finally, we all know that Disney is amazing at adding small but mighty details. We noticed several little additions throughout our sailing. Look out for 25th anniversary napkins, coasters, and more as you explore the ships.

Nueva decoración para el 25 Aniversario de Disney Cruise Line
Disney nos rodea de magia y brillo para celebrar el 25 aniversario de sus cruceros. A partir de Mayo y hasta Septiembre de 2023 encuentra los itinerarios que festejan este hito tan importante para la compañía.
La terminal de Cruceros en Cabo Cañaveral ha sido renovada encontramos a nuestros personajes favoritos rodeados de los colores de la celebración: azul aqua y plateado. Al ingresar al barco las decoraciones no paran, desde que entramos al atrio principal tenemos fondos para fotografía, decoraciones en las ventanas y nuestros personajes favoritos tienen un atuendo especial sólo para esta celebración. Incluso en Castaway (la Isla privada de Disney en las Bahamas) tenemos detalles en colores de la celebración. Bueno, Disney está en todo y hasta las servilletas y porta vasos tienen motivos alusivos al 25 aniversario.
