While I was out at the mall today, I made a stop at one of my favorite stores, BoxLunch. The salespeople at the store know me by now and know what I like, which I am more than ok with. I was happy to see that the store had a vast supply of new Loungefly backpacks and accessories. One of the first things that caught my eye as I entered the store was this Loungefly Pocahontas Collection!
I was so happy to see this set because, like my favorite princess Sleeping Beauty, Pocahontas doesn’t seem to get a lot of attention when it comes to merchandise.
Loungefly put a great amount of detail into the creation of this backpack. The front of the backpack has three scenes from the movie. It’s almost as though the backpack is telling a story. There is also a “hidden scene” on the back of the backpack that can only be seen if you aren’t wearing it. The sides of the backpack and the straps are made from a tan colored material that almost matches the color of Pocahontas’ dress. Finally, the zipper of the backpack has a sunflower, which makes me think of fall and the harvest season.
The thing that I think I love most about Loungefly backpacks is that every little detail is carefully thought out. This backpack is no exception. Just look inside this bag and you will find an intricately designed liner that displays Pocahontas, Flick, corn, feathers, and sunflowers on a light blue background.
The matching cardholder also displays a different scene with Pocahontas and Meeko in front of a sky-blue background surrounded by sunflowers. Like the backpack, the cardholder has a sunflower on the zipper.
