We are not-so-patiently awaiting the debut of Disney Cruella in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access on May 28th! Now, Singer Sewing Company is celebrating the notorious (and villainous) style icon.
Just how do Singer and Cruella fit together? Well darling, let me tell you. Cruella will celebrate individual style and the ability for all to sew and create their own clothing. The film is set in 1970s London, amidst the punk rock revolution, a time of convergence for fashion, music, and photography. Many young people at this time were sewing their own clothing, and with that, the concept of “Street Style” was born.
Academy Award winners Emma Stone and Emma Thompson star in the film, an all-new live-action feature about the rebellious early days of one of cinema’s most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. The storyline follows a young grifter named Estella, played by Emma Stone, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. Throughout the film, Stone sews on a SINGER®.
This is not the first time Singer Sewing Company and Disney have partnered up. They collaborated previously with Disney’s Maleficent. It seems like the pair is able to come together to celebrate some of our favorite Disney villains!
Fans can enter to win their own SINGER machine to help make their fashion dreams a reality. Head over to connect.singer.com/disneycruella to learn more! As someone who has just gotten her toes wet with sewing, this sounds like such a great sweepstakes!
