We are counting down the days until D23 Expo 2017! There will be so many exciting announcements and chances to glimpse new products and offerings. And now to make us even more exciiting, guests visiting the Disney Dream store at the Expo will find official merchandise and other specialty items from Disney Parks Merchandise.
Disney Parks Blog recently caught up with Clay Chaffin, merchandise and product developer for jewelry to talk about all the new bling being released at the event. Okay, but seriously? Jewelry developer?! Chaffin has my dream job!
“We are thrilled to be a part of the Disney Dream Store as it gives us an opportunity to offer elegant and stylish jewelry to our most enthusiastic Disney fans,” explained Clay. “Guests will find jewelry by ALEX AND ANI, Crislu, and Rebecca Hook. We will also have two timepieces by Bulova. Some of these items will be available only to D23 Gold Members, making them wonderful reminders of this ultimate Disney fan event.”
The ALEX AND ANI bangles are part of the “Through the Years” collection celebrating milestone anniversaries at Disney Parks. Bracelets will be available in a choice of gold or silver finishes. A bangle celebrating Oswald The Lucky Rabbit’s anniversary will also be included in the mix. These bangles will premiere at the D23 Expo and then will be released in select locations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts at a future date.
I have yet to get into the ALEX AND ANI bangles – probably one of the few fashion accessories I don’t collect. However, the Through the Years collection may just sway me. I love the history of Disney Parks and the fact that I could wear these milestones around my wrist is a real draw for me!
Also new at D23 Expo 2017 is the Crislu key necklace collection, which was created especially for D23 Gold Members. This .925 Sterling silver with Platinum plated Mickey head key necklace contains clear cubic zirconia pave detailing and the D23 logo. It measures 20-inches in length with a 2-inch extension. I just love how subtle the D23 logo is and how it works seamless with the design of they key.
Also available for D23 Gold Members, is a sterling silver filigree castle necklace by Rebecca Hook. This item features a yellow gold plated D23 logo and measures 20-inches in length.
But that’s not all that’s available from Rebecca Hook!
Three additional items by Rebecca Hook will premiere at the event. They include a Sterling silver pave castle necklace featuring blue or pink cubic zirconia stones, and a Sterling silver Tinker Bell necklace with clear cubic zirconia pave detailing. And no worries if you can’t make to D23 Expo. These items will be released at Disney Parks after the conclusion of the event.
If you are looking for some accessories other than jewelry, Disney has you covered! Guests at the Expo will find a new collection from HARVEYS inspired by the Through the Years milestone anniversary collection. The collection will feature three of the most popular silhouettes – the backpack, streamline tote, and coin purse.
I think I’m going to need that streamline purse! It’s just so perfect for celebrating Disney magic.
And last, but of course not least – there is a new Dooney & Bourke collection!
The new Dooney & Bourke collection is inspired by Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Titled “Pumpkin King,” this collection will contain a Tote, a Wristlet and a Crossbody handbag. These items will be released at Disney Parks later this fall.
Hopefully in time for Halloween!
From this collection, the crossbody bag is definitely my favorite.
