When I think of summer, my mind drifts off to Pixar. Usually, the start of summer is ushered in by the latest Pixar flick. This year was no exception, with the release of Inside Out 2. Cakeworthy must have gotten the memo. Now, all of the new Summer Cakeworthy Items have arrived on the Disney Store website.
Cars
We mentioned in an earlier post (You can read more about it here!) that Cakeworthy had released a wonderful collection and that some of the items were at BoxLunch. As luck would have it, they are now also on the Disney Store Website. In addition to the Tow Mater Flannel and the Lightning McQueen Flannel that we saw at BoxLunch, there are several new items that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Get ready for race day with this Cars T-Shirt Dress. This dress is lightweight and airy. It requires little effort to have you looking fabulous in no time. The Rust-Eze Logo is on the front of the dress.
On the back of the dress, we see Lightning McQueen’s number and signature lightning bolt. With this dress on, it will be clear to everyone who you are cheering for.
In addition to the dress, there is also a Lightning McQueen Crossbody Bag. The bag has a ruby red glitter finish, which makes it look like Lightning has just had a new paint job. He smiles out from the front of the bag, ready to show off his new look. The chain strap matches his colors perfectly and goes well with the car theme of the bag.
There are even additional details on the back of the bag. Here we see Lightning’s fin and taillights as he drives away.
The final item is this Cozy Cone Motel Robe. Let’s face it. We all wish that we could stay in a Cozy Cone. While we can’t always do that, this brings us one step closer to saying that we did. This parking cone orange robe has the Cozy Cone Motel logo on both its back and its side pocket. There are even little “Zzzzs” on the collar. Finally, on the other side pocket it says “No Vacancy” and “100% Refrigerated Air”. With this robe on, it looks like you lucked out and managed to snag yourself one of the cones before they were all taken. And, with that refrigerated air, you are going to need a cozy robe to snuggle up in.
Inside Out 2
In addition to the new Cars items, there are several Inside Out 2 items also on the Disney Store Website. The first three items highlight one of Riley’s new emotions, Anxiety. On the Anxiety Pullover Sweatshirt, we see Anxiety trying to make themself feel better and like they are ok. I know that there are many times when I needed to read this sweater and tell myself that I’m ok too.
The second Anxiety item is this Semi-Cropped Polo Shirt. I love the burnt orange color of this shirt. I think that it is a color that would look great on a lot of people. This polo is the perfect mix of nerdy and stylish. I think that it speaks to Anxiety’s personality well and I am so glad that they did an Anxiety Polo.
I felt seen when I saw the Anxiety Semi-Cropped T-Shirt. Her feelings are so relatable! I understand wanting to be social, but also wanting to be home in my Disney Princess Pajamas. The gray background of this shirt makes it the perfect match for a pair of jean shorts. The bottom of the shirt and the sleeves have little ruffles on them, making the shirt look just a little bit more feminine and playful.
All of Riley’s Emotions are emoting on this All-Over Print T-Shirt. All of their personalities really shine through and it is fun to see them all in one place. My favorite new emotion is Embarrassment because I have definitely felt the way that he is looking. I also think that it is funny that Joy continues to look joyful even as she stands next to Sadness who is clearly anything but joyful.
The final item in the collection is a classic Cakeworthy flannel. The Bing Bong Flannel screams of childhood memories. On the back, we see the phrase “Take Her to the Moon For Me, Okay?” Every time I read the shirt I can hear Bing Bong saying it.
On the front of the flannel, we see Bing Bong’s flower and signature. He has even dropped some candy down one of the sleeves.
