Even though it’s been one icy winter, it’s hard to believe that Spring is next month! Fashion doesn’t know the temperature though, and Hot Topic has a fabulous selection of Disney Swimsuits now online, to get us excited for swim season.
There’s an assortment of character inspired bikinis and one pieces, and they aren’t just princesses either! There are a few leading ladies, as well as a villain in this mix this season. All of these suits come in regular, and plus size.
I’m starting off with the Villain of this assortment, Ursula. As a Disney Villains fan, I was excited to see a Villain suit, and I am loving the choice of Ursula.
Not only does this suit have a shimmery black and purple fabric, but the halter attached to the suit like Ursula’s necklace, complete with the shell holding Ariel’s voice! This one piece is finished off with a ruffle, which is much cuter than tentacles.
Ariel returns as a swimsuit choice this year as well and is always popular. This style hasn’t changed much from last year, but why mess with perfection?
The Jack and Sally suits were simply meant to be. Sally’s patchwork dress is cut into a sassy bikini, and Jack’s pin-striped suit fills out the one piece, under a bustier that features his bowtie.
It’s surfs up as Lilo with this fun bikini. The top features her iconic Hawaiian dress print in red, while the bottom features the same print in green, that kind of mimics a hula skirt.
Lilo isn’t the only Polynesian leading lady joining the swimsuit collection, Moana returns with a sassy new bikini too! This season’s Moana suit features her Heart of Ti Fiti locket necklace, and wrap skirt.
Megara may not be an official Disney Princess, but she’s certainly Disney Diva Royalty to use! Meg’s sassiness and impeccable style award her an award for Fierce Fashion for sure. Her Grecian inspired dress is reimagined for this bikini, complete with the side sash belt, and gold coin accents.
Belle’s suit waltzes onto the scene with the brilliant classic yellow we’ve come to remember her by. A single accent rose in the center of the bikini’s halter top reminds us of the enchanted rose from Beast’s castle.
As a long time fan of Alice in Wonderland, I’m excited to see this bikini inspired by Alice’s iconic white, blue and black ensemble. The white ruffled bottom and black bow accents add just the right amount of whimsey for the adorable suit. It is quite reminiscent of the suit we saw two years ago from Hot Topic.
I have to admit I was very shocked to see this Kida swimsuit! Kida is the princess from Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire animated film from 2001. The pattern is inspired by her costume and the halter tie looks like her crystal necklace.
Last but most certainly not least, we have the one and only Minnie Mouse! Polka dots and Minnie icons are sprinkled on this swimsuit inspired by Minnie Mouse. Made in her iconic colors of red and white spots, the suit is completed with black bows on the hips, and center bust.
