There are a few Disney merchandise events that take place pretty much every month. I find that some of them are worth making a trip to Disney Springs for, more so than others. This month, Disney Springs has more than one merchandise event I wish I could attend! Let’s check them out.
On November 4-9, Artist Greg McCullough will be meeting with guests from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. each day in The Art of Disney store. This is one of my absolute favorite places on Disney ground to find the perfect piece of Disney art.
On November 10-13 , Guests can meet artist William Silvers at The Art of Disney from 4:00 – 10:00 p.m. each day.
On November 10 – January 3, 2017, representatives from Precious Moments will be showcasing their newest Precious Moments dolls at Marketplace Fun Finds in Disney Springs Marketplace. Precious Moments doll designer Linda Rick will not be there until later in the month, on November 18- 20.
On November 11-12 , The Art of Disney will host an Artist Showcase featuring Costa Alavezos, Brian Blackmore, and Don “Ducky” Williams. I have yet to meet Don “Ducky” Williams but I would really like to! Guests can meet the artists from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. each day. Costa will appear on Saturday only so make sure you work your plans around that, if he is the one you are wanting to see.
On November 12, Artist Jasmine Becket-Griffith returns to WonderGround Gallery inside the Marketplace Co-Op from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. I absolutely love all of the artwork you see in the top picture. I am dying for each and every piece but have to find the perfect place in my house first!
On November 17-21, Artist Greg McCullough returns to The Art of Disney in August. He will be meeting with guests and signing artwork from 1:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day. I had the chance to meet him at the D23 Expo last summer and he is delightful!
On November 18, Once Upon a Toy will host “Game Night” with Disney Design Group artist Quynh Kimball. He will be meeting with guests from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Quynh helped design several board games for Disney Parks including Disney Theme Park Edition III Monopoly and Pirates of the Caribbean Battleship. How cool is that??
The other big thing taking place on November 18th is the special release party at Cherry Tree Lane in the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs Marketplace. During this special event, guests will have an opportunity to meet Ian Ray, Creative Director for Dooney & Bourke from 10:30am-12:00pm. At this event, two handbag collections will be released. These designs are just so gorgeous! I am hoping to have a representative of Disney Fashionista there to cover the event so stay tuned for that!
Also on November 18-19, An Artist Showcase featuring David Buckley, Will Gay, Joe Kaminski, and Darren Wilson will be held at The Art of Disney. Guests can meet the artists from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. each day.
On November 27, Artist Jim Shore will return to The Art of Disney to meet with guests from 10:00 – 12 Noon. We all love the work of Jim Shore and the new holiday pieces he has done are quite lovely.
What do you think of all the Disney merchandise events taking place this month? I would say they are just in time for holiday shopping! Let us know if you are planning to attend one of the events in the comment box below!
