Thandie Newton, from Solo: A Star Wars Story, took to the red carpet in stunning out of this galaxy style at the Cannes Film Festival. Thandie wore a Unique Star Wars Dress, that is absolutely incredible. Not only was it a custom Vivienne Westwood dress, but the print was also comprised of iconic Star Wars characters that have been portrayed by black actors.
According to Disney Style, the dress features photos of Newton’s personal collection of Star Wars action figures including Finn, Mace Windu, Lando Calrissian, Saw Gerrera, and Captain Panaka. The dress was created using a fashion forward technique. Christian Högstedt captured photos on the figures, and then those photos were layered on top of the Vivienne Westwood Absence of Roses design. The dress was also composed with GOTS certified organic peau de soie silk! Even more incredible, is that this dress is certified Eco-Age, featuring embellishments of upcycled Swarovski crystals too.
