A groundbreaking Disney theme park resort will be created in partnership with Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences. Behold the news of the 7th Wonder of Disney World!
A Whole New World
The newest Disney Resort will be located on Yas Island, the perfect location to connect travelers from the Middle East and Africa, India, Asia, Europe, and beyond. His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman at Miral, said. “The collaboration between Abu Dhabi and Disney demonstrates the remarkable results of combining visionary leadership and creative excellence. What we are creating with Disney in Abu Dhabi is a whole new world of imagination — an experience that will inspire generations across the region and the world, creating magical moments and memories that families will treasure forever.”
Disney and its Imagineers will be the creative design leaders and operational overseers to provide a magical world class experience we’ve come to love. No stranger to family entertainment destinations, Miral will develop, build, and operate the new resort. This is similar to how Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are run.

Josh D’Amaro promises, upon completion, Disneyland Abu Dhabi to be the most advanced and interactive destination in their portfolio. In addition to legendary Disney entertainment, retail, themed accommodations, dining, this resort brings “storytelling in a way that celebrates both the heritage of Disney and the futuristic and cultural essence of Abu Dhabi” definitely the 7th Wonder of Disney World!
