Disney just released the trailer for Big Shot, the upcoming 10-episode series on Disney+ starring John Stamos and premiering on April 16th! Like most people my age, I love John Stamos and his love for all things Disney makes me love him even more! What made me a fangirl for life is how sweet he was when I ran into him at Disney’s Animal Kingdom during a birthday trip! He even told me happy birthday! EEK!!! For those wondering, yes he really is that good looking in person! But I digress…
The show follows Coach Marvin Korn (played by Stamos) who gets fired from the NCAA and is given the opportunity to coach a girls basketball team at an elite private high school. This is a story of redemption and Korn learning how to deal with teenage players that need more empathy and vulnerability than the adults he normally works with. By learning how to connect with his players, he begins to grow into the person he always wanted to be. While he grows, so do his players, who learn to take themselves more seriously both in the game and in life! This is one of those shows that will inspire you, make you excited for the future, and make you reminisce about those amazing teachers and coaches that helped you become your best self!
In addition to John Stamos, the series stars JessaIyn Gilsig, Yvette Nicole Brown, Richard Robichaux, and a talented group of young actors including Sophia Mitri Schloss, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Monique Green, Tisha Custodio and Cricket Wampler.
