You may recall it was almost a month ago that I shared the news of the Disney100 Dooney & Bourke Collection. The time has finally come for this collection to arrive Stateside! Now we can celebrate the classics while carrying a Disney100 Platinum Celebration Dooney!
When I first spotted this collection on the shopDisney Japan website, there were three silhouettes. Thanks to the sneak peek display at Uptown Jewelers, we are able to spot 4 silhouettes including an annual passholder exclusive! That’s the dream! At least it was my dream!
The 3 silhouettes we knew about include a bucket bag ($348), crossbody ($228) and satchel ($368). The thing I love about all of these bags is that Mickey buckle or latch, if you will. It’s a detail that I don’t have on any of my other bags and I think I need it!
The pattern is this beautiful silver and teal (I still think there should be a cruise line bag in these colors) with images of classic films we have come to know and love! Baloo, Stitch, Tinker Bell, Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio, Marie, and Simba are just a few of the characters that jump out at me! There is also a hangtag on the bags to show off this incredible Disney100 Platinum Celebration!
The tote bag is what I had hinted at a month ago when I first spotted this collection. It’s the annual passholder bag or Disneyland Magic Key Holder bag! This bag has a special hangtag that tells us it’s for annual passholders or Magic Key Holders. This bag is even available online! This is huge because many times, the special Annual Passholder/ Magic Key Holder bags don’t show up online! RUN!!
The lining is gray in color. I was really hoping for more of the teal for an extra pop but the color makes sense if we are celebrating the platinum anniversary.
