The Stylish Morimoto Asia, an artistic collaboration between world-famous Chef Masaharu Morimoto and Patina Restaurant group, is set to open September 30, 2015 at Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Morimoto Asia will be the first “pan-asian” dining experience for Chef Morimoto, and has his eclectic take on his favorite Asain flavors. Some of the tantalizing flavors include moo shu pork, Peking duck, lobster chow fun, sweet and sour crispy whole fish, and spicy kung pao chicken. A special weekend offering of dim sum will be served during brunch, with dumpling shumai, bao, spare ribs, and more. There’s even delightful offerings if you have little ones with you, featuring chicken ramen, kakuni pork bao, and karaage fried chicken.
Another sensational feature of this new restaurant, is the sushi bar, that has only 14 very coveted seats, with a global inspiration from toro, kanpachi, Japanese red snapper, usi sea eel, hamachi, fluke, salmon, and more. If you aren’t able to grab one of these 14 seats, a selection of specialty rolls and sushi platters will be available for guests in the lounge or dining rooms.
The restaurant will serve sake, including offerings from the Morimoto signature line, wines from around the world, signature cocktails, and non alocholic beverages. Many bottled and draft beers will be available, most of them Asian, including the Morimoto signature beer by Rogue Ales.
The Expansive Morimoto Asia includes beautiful lounges, dining spaces, an open kitchen, and a two-story outdoor terrace that over looks the water. The main entrance will feature a three-story glass corner, and the sculptural bar is actually one of the largest in the world, over 270 feet long, and connecting the grand dining room on the ground floor with the upper level Forbidden Lounge, as it wraps around the staircase. You’ll be dazzled by custom glass beaded chanfliers and glass mosaics based on ancient Japanese prints.
This sounds like a fashionable addition to the already stylish Disney Springs area, and I can’t wait to take in the creative atmosphere! Morimoto Asia is expected to open September 30, 2015 and begin accepting reservations as early as September 16, 2015. Hours of operation are daily from 11:00 a.m. to 2 a.m. serving lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
