I will start by saying that I was not around to watch the original Mickey Mouse Club, BUT I have watched so many clips and learned so much about the original show that I feel like I did! Now, Dooney & Bourke is taking us down memory lane with the all new Mickey Mouse Club 70th Anniversary Collection!
There are 3 silhouettes that popped up online overnight! There is a tote ($298), backpack ($288), and wallet ($188). Let’s talk about this print first.
The pattern includes Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Morty, Ferdie, Chip ‘n Dale, Humphrey Bear, Three Little Pigs, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Figaro, Mouseketeers, and more! The part that really gets me is the retro feel and the images. You can see Mickey in multiple different images, and you can see how he changed! There are images in black and white but also color, which is a fun juxtaposition. The vinyl record pulls at my heartstrings because I had so many of these when I was young! I still have my 45 of the Main Street Electrical Parade!
You can see they mention the Mouseketeers, and I was obsessed with them! Annette and Moochie were my favorites! I loved the old movies they were in, too! When I look at this bag, I hear Annette singing Let’s Get Together (and then I replay it with Haley Mills). Ah, the memories.
This tote looks to have a static print on both the front and back. It’s a larger, boxy tote and only has the strap closure, no zipper. I really like the silhouette but this fashionista needs a zipper closure.
This backpack is different than what we usually see, but I actually have an Aristocat Dooney from Disneyland Paris in this exact silhouette and I love it. I like that I can wear it as a backpack but I can also carry it with the little handle, which I do every once in a while. It’s super versatile and a nice change.
The wallet has the print wrapped around it, and it’s unclear at this time if it is a static print or not.. I’m thinking yes, but that’s a guess. Regardless of the smaller surface area, this still has enough of the artwork to get that walk down memory lane I keep talking about!
All of these landed online HERE this morning. We are not sure if they arrived at the Parks, but we will know soon enough! Perhaps there will be another Park Exclusive silhouette, as in previous conversations!
