The June 2021 Edition of Foodie News on the Disney Parks Blog has my mouth watering and my stomach growling! There are new additions and the return of some favorites! Let’s dive in!
Disneyland Resort
Oga’s Cantina will open on June 17th with bookings available June 14th! Here, you can get a Fuzzy Tauntaun and listen to the hip tunes of DJ R-3X!
You can also head to Lamplight Lounge for brunch opening on July 9th with bookings available June 14th! Here, you can try plant-based Potato Flautas or some Indulgent French Toast!
You can even grab some Spaghetti Aglio Olio with some wine at Wine Country Trattoria opening June 17th with bookings available June 14th!
Other tasty locations opening soon include:
- Tiki Juice Bar (mobile order available) – Opening June 17
- Docking Bay Food & Cargo (mobile order available) – Opening June 17
- Alien Pizza Planet (mobile order available) – Opening June 17
- Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante – Opening June 17
- Candy Palace – Currently making Nuttles (chopped pecan pieces layered with freshly made caramel with a dollop of milk chocolate on top) on Monday and Friday
- Candy Palace – Currently making Rocky Road (mix of milk chocolate, chopped almonds, and house-made marshmallows in a small pie tin) on Saturdays
There are even new tasty treats like this Beignet-Flavored Cocktail (wedding cake-flavored vodka, vanilla syrup, butterscotch schnapps, and half and half topped with a mini glazed beignet) at Ralph Brennen’s Jazz Kitchen and a French Toast Churro (dusted in powdered sugar and served with a side of maple syrup) at California Churro!
Walt Disney World Resort
Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is opening June 24th with nightly walk-in availability through July 4th! Bookings are available June 10th for reservations starting July 5th! Here you can taste Caribbean favorites and a new family-style meal at dinner! This meal starts with tasty pull-apart rolls and continues with oven-roasted citrus chicken, slow-cooked mojo pork with mango sambal, grilled flank steak with mojito relish, cilantro rice and beans, vegetable curry, and grilled broccolini. You finish the meal with coconut-pineapple bread pudding! You can even add coconut shrimp!
My absolute favorite, ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, is opening July 9th with bookings available June 10th! They will be serving all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast and dinner. Characters won’t be around right now, but there will be a strolling musician! Breakfast here includes pineapple-coconut breakfast bread, Stitch and Mickey Mouse waffles, and skillets filled with eggs, ham, sausage, and breakfast potatoes. Dinner features grilled beef steak, roasted chicken, sausage, and island shrimp casserole with fried rice and roasted broccolini. It also comes with pot stickers, chicken wings, and the iconic bread pudding!
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom opens June 20th and bookings are available now. The family style menu with African-inspired flavors is back with breakfast offerings like Mickey and Simba waffles, Durban chicken and egg curry with jasmine rice, and more! Lunch and dinner include Moroccan-spiced beef, Berber-marinated pork, spit-roasted herb chicken, and Cape Malay green curry shrimp. Plus, you will be able to enjoy all of your magical meals with some of your favorite Disney Characters!
Other locations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that are now open include:
- Terra Treats (serving pizza slices)
- Isle of Java (serving fresh-brewed espresso, cappuccino, and sweet treats)
- Trilo-Bites (serving DOLE Whip orange)
- Drinkwallah Snacks & Frozen Beverages
You can even grab some tasty treats at BoardWalk Ice Cream Shop featuring scoops and sundaes to-go!
