You may not be able to get your picture taken with Duffy anymore at Epcot but that doesn’t mean Duffy is gone completely. The Japanese still embrace Duffy and, as a commemorative gesture to Duffy’s 10th anniversary, Converse is releasing a Duffy sneaker that will make Duffy fans go wild!
This is a limited edition Duffy themed sneaker at Tokyo DisneySea for ¥15,800 (approx. US$132). As you can see, these Converse Duffy sneakers are fuzzy on the outside…. just like Duffy! I think this is a crazy fun idea since it s clearly not the norm to own a pair of fuzzy shoes that are like a stuffed animal! I have a Duffy bear from a long time ago and it is purple. These shoes are only coming in the more commonly found color, as seen above.
As of November 25th, 2015 guests can buy the sneakers at the Galleria Disney in the Mediterranean Harbor. Limited Edition means quantities are limited and once they sell out, they are gone. I’m sure we can expect these to sell out quickly.
