Today is National Dog Day and, though I don’t have a dog, I am very excited about the new treats being made available for man’s best friend!
Disney Tails, a line of pet products that exude Disney character. You may recall that they expanded earlier this year to include smaller pets which is great for people like one of our writers Jackie, who has a 4lb dog! Today, guests will find leads, headbands, collars, comfort harnesses, and pet bowls. Many of these items have nods to Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
“These items are a fun way guests can share their love of Disney with their furry family members,” explained Kevin-Michael Lezotte, merchandise product developer for the Disney Tails line. “I loved developing these products as they are things I would use with my dog Haji.”
Pluto is the one that should be front and center as he is Mickey’s best pal. He s featured on a variety of products including hats, home décor, accessories, ornaments, toys, plush and more. Pluto even gets his own individual open edition pin in this year’s Halloween collection. You may have noted that none of the above are actually items for your pet. I found that interesting. I guess Pluto didn’t want to rough up himself. Makes sense.
