I am the first one to admit that I have a Disney handbag obsession…. or just a handbag obsession… or a Disney obsession. Okay! Let’s not split hairs here. I like pretty things and if they are Disney, that just makes them better. Disney and Dooney and Bourke are not helping me suppress my obsession because there are 2 new Disney Dooney and Bourke prints to be released this summer!
How often can we say that we have a designer Disney bag based on Tiana? We can now! This is a continuation of the “Dream Big, Princess” collection with handbags inspired by Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog.” I have no idea what silhouettes will exist , aside from the one shown above, but I have hopes for at least 2 other styles. The handbag shown above will include a specially designed leather hangtag, as well.
The second of the two features none other than Madame Leota! There is said to be a collection featuring Madame Leota and collection means more than one silhouette! I NEED this in a letter carrier. I adore everything about it and purple is one of my signature colors!
These handbags will be released on July 22 at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs. I wish I could be there for it but I promise I will have a fellow fashionista there to cover the event. Guests attending this launch party will also have the opportunity to meet Ian Ray, Creative Director for Dooney & Bourke from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These collections will also be released at Disneyland Resort on the same day. That’s right after I get back from the D23 Expo. It figures. Our preferred personal shopper is taking pre-orders so that’s something! You can check that out HERE.
