With Captain America: Civil War still showing at some theaters around the country, it’s hard to remember that the Captain has a much longer history in American pop culture. For 75 years Cap has been inspiring fans to do the right thing, stand up for your friends, and dress to kick butt.
The fashion of Captain America hasn’t changed all that much in 75 years, but he is still able to influence the fashion world with his own brand of Americana. Taking a cue from the Captain, Her Universe is back with a new collection inspired by our favorite hero.
Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein explains, “With the 75th anniversary we were really inspired by the 40’s era and the year that Captain America was created. We collaborated closely with the Kohl’s and Marvel teams to create the perfect summer collection that evokes the spirit of a girl from the 40’s with a mix of modern day trends.”
Is that Disney’s Boardwalk that I see in the background?? Just a little Disney Easter Egg.
This collection is fun, flirty, and totally feminine! Filled with rompers and dresses, the new collection is redefining what a superhero is.
I love the vintage vibe to the collection. The cut and styles go perfect with Cap’s WW2 beginnings.
This red sundress would be so great for a 4th of July party this summer!
I love the small details that they put into this collection. This blouse features teeny tiny shields and a retro inspired lace collar.
For a more casual look, this graphic tank is perfect for summer fun.
The collection is available through Kohl’s and is totally summer budget friendly! The whole collection is currently on sale and prices run between $14.99 and $32.99.
