It’s been a while since I have talked about the fabulous upcycled Park map jewelry you could get at Disney Parks. Do you remember Beads For Life and the kiosks at Disney Parks? Well, we haven’t talked about them because they are no longer there. I had heard rumors that they were still at Animal Kingdom but not one cast member could tell me where. This made me quite sad because I really loved the thought process behind them and the fact the money went to a worthy cause.
I was thrilled to discover a small Etsy shop that makes upcycled Park map jewelry, as well. I have shared a couple of these in the past but Mary’s Magical Maps is extra special. A percentage of the proceeds goes to SUDC… Sudden Unexplained Death in Children. As a pediatric nurse, this hit very close to my heart and I knew I had to take a closer look.
Clearly the concept behind these pieces came from Beads For Life. They are very reminiscent of the designs and I loved them to begin with! There are bracelets and necklaces in different styles available. The Park maps used are Park Maps from all over the world! Not just from Disneyland or Walt Disney World! How cool is that?
