I am a lover of all things Disney. This is no secret to those of you who have been following my blog. I am also quite the girlie girl. I like pretty things, mani/pedis and I love spas. I always thought that my main, and really only, options were Senses at the Grand Floridian and the Senses Saratoga Springs (or the Disney Institute for those that remember!). I was so far off base with that assumption!! I thought you might not know about the other options either, so I am going to provide you with all the options I am aware of, in no particular order.
- Ship Shape Massage Salon Fitness– Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
This salon is right over by the pool and near Beaches and Cream. In essence, you could go and get your pedicure and massage and then grab a kitchen sink!!! Location is everything, people!
- Sturdy Branches Health Club– Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
I have personally not been to this one but, if it is anything like the others, it is everything you would expect from Disney!!
- Ivy Trellis Salon– Disney’s Grand Floridian & Spa
This is not to be mistaken for the Senses Spa at the Grand Floridian. That one is outside heading towards the wedding pavilion and this one is upstairs to the left of where you come inside from the monorail. This one is not a full service spa. That means it is more of a salon where you can get all hair services and mani/pedis but not massages (you can jump right over to Senses for that). remember the adult makeovers you can get? That takes place here!
- La Vida Health Club/ Casa de Belleza Beauty Salon– Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Now a health club has massages and facials while the beauty salon is like the one at the Grand Floridian we just discussed. They serve different purposes but still make you feel refreshed and beautiful!! I have not been to this one either but it exists! You don’t have to leave your resort and head to a Deluxe resort!!
- Olympiad Fitness Center– Disney’s Contemporary Resort
This one does not have hair services but it would be really simple to hop the monorail and head on over to the Grand Floridian. They do provide in-room massages, though!!!
- Zahanati Massage & Fitness Center– Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
I’m just going to point out that, as the outer most hotel distance wise, it is nice to know there are options at this resort.
I am not going to go into the 2 Senses Spas as these are full-service spas and most of you probably know about them. These are the only ones that have whirlpool, sauna, lockers etc, as you would expect from a day spa. They are divine and I have been to both. My favorite of the 2 is actually Senses at Saratoga Springs but I am not sure if that is for the nostalgic factor for the Disney Institute. I have taken a photo of the brochure that gives you the services available and the prices. If you need more information, you can call 407-WDW-SPAS. Some of these spas even have services for kids!! Who needs the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?? You can have a mommy daughter day (or an Auntie/ Niece day like I did).
Did you know about all the different spa options available at Walt Disney World?? Which is your favorite?? Let us know in the comment box below!
