The Walt Disney Company Store had some amazing collections for us as part of the D23 Expo shopping experiences this past weekend. But the collection that stole our heart was the “Dreaming of Visiting Disney in California” one, full of charm and with a clear artsy vibe this one was a true homage to the people who work hard at this company.
This collection was made of two different categories: household goods and apparel. With a beige colored background this design showcased in a hand-drawn style different landmarks for The Walt Disney Company in the state of California like:
- Lucasfilm Yoda Fountain Statue in San Francisco
- The Animation Buliding in Burkbank
- The Walt Disney Company water tower in Burkbank
- The Team Disney Building in Burkbank
- Pluto’s Corner in Burkbank
- Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville
- The Marquee from El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood
- Buena Vista and Walt Disney Studios in Burkbank
- Disneyland and Disney California Adventure in Anaheim
Dreaming of Visiting Disney in California Household goods
This part of the collection was a very robust one, you could find this design on a dinner-type mug, magnet, coaster set, insulated water bottle, decorative pillow, photo frame, and a kitchen towel. There was even a postcard that could be framed and displayed as art at home. Also as a complement to this idea, there were some California state map cutting boards that didn´t have this design but were a close alternative to the concept.
Dreaming of Apparel
If you are like me, you definitely are the “been there, got the t-shirt” type. Luckily for us, there was a short-sleeved unisex t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and a canvas tote with the same design. These articles were definitely very popular throughout the weekend.
It was a pleasure to be able to shop these items at The Walt Disney Company Store during the D23 Expo but the good news is that if you missed this event that is not your only option for getting them. As part of the Walt Disney Studios Official Tour you get to enter the Company Store and all these articles (and more!) are there waiting for you.

La tienda de la Compañía Walt Disney en la D23 nos trajo muchas colecciones de mercancía, pero la que más nos gustó fue la de “Soñando con visitar Disney en California” en la que a manera de dibujo hecho a mano vimos diferentes lugares de la compañía a manera de homenaje por parte de los animadores. Un excelente souvenir que encapsula todo lo que Disney tiene en este maravilloso estado.
