Fashionistas of the world rejoice! We have our first peek at the Disney Destiny merchandise for the inaugural season that begins this November. There are four different collections, and we are already getting our wish lists ready to commemorate this new ship from Disney Cruise Lines. Disney Fashionista will be there sailing early December and bringing you first hand a little bit of everything, but for now, let’s dive into the wonderful information Disney Parks Blog released this morning.
Disney Destiny Inaugural Collection
Crafted in the deep blue, rich purple, and gleaming gold hues of the Grand Hall, this expansive assortment will feature eye-catching wearables, beautiful homewares, and elegant pieces from favorite brands like Loungefly and Pandora. We are loving the ombre effect between deep blue and rich purple, making this different from other past DCL collections already. This Pandora set has our name on it, so we hope they bring plenty on board because the sliding charms with Spiderman, plus Captain Mickey and DCL logo in purple (a signature Disney Fashionista color) are calling our name.
Disney Destiny Logo Collection
The Disney Destiny Logo Collection will boast trendy adult apparel and accessories featuring both the Disney Cruise Line logo and a custom line drawing of the bow of the ship. The bold, stylish designs will be modern and simplistic, with sleek tone-on-tone patterns and a striking palette of onyx and gold — perfect for stand-out pieces that command attention. This is so different from anything we’ve seen before from DCL, and we are in love. This is perfect for the more subtle crowd that still wants everyone to know they had the time of their lives onboard a Disney Cruise. We spy ears, tumblers, hip packs, button-down shirts, sweatshirts, and sport hats. Marvel fans will love these.
Super Character Collection
Inspired by the ship’s “heroes and villains” theme — and the emblem of Hero Minnie on the bow filigree — the Super Character Collection will offer one-of-a-kind souvenirs for the whole family. The fun and playful artwork imagines Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto as a daring crew of “hydro heroes,” each with their own unique super powers. Featuring vibrant, colorful graphic designs reminiscent of comic book drawings, the collection will include everything from apparel and accessories to plush, pins, and drinkware. The outfits for Mickey and Minnie are amazing, definitely giving us those superhero vibes that we feel will be very popular among the younger crowd. This Loungefly backpack and ears set is definitely coming home with me.
Disney Destiny Ship Collection
Honoring this ship’s unique personality and distinctive character features, the Disney Destiny Ship Collection will offer signature Disney vacation souvenirs. With a themed spirit jersey, ear headband, ornament, beach towel, pin and more — most inspired by the statue of Spider-Man that will adorn the stern — this line will be essential for Disney Cruise Line enthusiasts who are gathering their own collection of ship-specific keepsakes from across the fleet. This collection in particular might be the one that ties in the most with the rest of the ships, so if you are a collector or a true fan of DCL, this might be the one that calls your name.
Disney Destiny DisneyBand+
Beginning in late May, guests who have booked a Disney Destiny vacation can pre-order this brand-new Disney Destiny DisneyBand+ design, which features illustrations of Captain Minnie Mouse and the ship in a classic nautical color scheme. These waterproof wristbands add even more convenience, fun and magic to your cruise experience — from seamlessly boarding the ship and accessing your stateroom to making purchases, linking photos to your account and beyond! While a lanyard has been the DCL staple for years, this upgrade is definitely more convenient and comfortable for everyone. All the magic at the tap of your wristband, talk about nautical pixie dust.
If you are sailing aboard the Disney Destiny’s maiden voyage on November 20 there will be an exclusive opportunity to pre-order a selection of new Disney Destiny merchandise and collector’s items later this summer.
Dooney and Bourke
Today at the press event, our friends of Small World Vacations were able to see firsthand some of the other treasures we will find onboard these sailings, and here is our first look at the new Dooney and Bourke collection for the Disney Destiny. In navy blue with gold tones, we see the blueprint of the Disney Destiny from above with Disney Cruise Line Logos. It comes in three silhouettes so far: tote, wallet and crossbody. We have an inaugural season tag on the tote, the perfect memento for any fashionista onboard these voyages. You can get a sense of what these silhouettes are like from the ones on Disney Treasure, so you know exactly what will work for you when you see these.
As you can see, there is plenty for everyone onboard. This time around, Disney Cruise Lines made sure everyone would join in the shopping fun.
