We’ve been preparing for National Polka Dot Day (January 22) all week. There has been so much new and so many announcements centered around the always fashionable and always chic, Minnie Mouse. Designers around the world have jumped on board to “Rock the Dots” and Minnie is even (finally!) receiving her long awaited star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. With all this Minnie Mouse fashion, you know Dooney & Bourke would have something amazing up their sleeves.
The brand new Minnie Mouse inspired collection from Dooney & Bourke is filled with plenty of pretty polka-dots and is perfect for the Disney fashionista who wants to Rock the Dots all season long. National Polka Dot is January 22, but that doesn’t mean you can’t show your Minnie Mouse love long after the holiday is over. Here is a look at the brand new collection from Dooney & Bourke.
The new Dooney & Bourke collection is clearly inspired by Minnie Mouse. There is no mistaking that bright red and white polka dot pattern for anything other than Minnie! Obviously, her iconic dress is the main inspiration, but you can also see a heart-shaped mouse tail incorporated into the designs.
This beautiful pattern is available is three different silhouettes: Tote ($228), Pouchette ($138), and Wallet ($138). The whole collection is made with a durable vinyl and trimmed in leather. This is a great light weight alternative to the normal leather bags we normally see from Dooney & Bourke.
I love all the silhouettes, but my favorite is the Pouchette! It’s so practical and perfect for every day wear! I normally go for bigger bags like the Tote, but I’m trying to downsize the amount of stuff I carry around with me. Don’t you think the Pouchette would help me with this goal?
