It is sweltering hot where I live right now so I can only imagine how hot it is at Disney Parks! I have been in May and melted and I have been in October and melted…. the word “summer” in the title is going to be used loosely here. I like to stay beautiful and fresh no matter where I am but, while out at the Parks for the day, I am put to the test! I have been asked by many readers what they can do to make this happen. I decided that every fashionista would be interested in this info! Here are some beauty must haves ever fashionista should have for a Disney parks visit this summer!
Tinted Sunscreen– Not everyone needs tinted sunscreen but I am pale so I like a tiny bit of color. Everyone does need sunscreen, though. Everyone should be wearing sunscreen, at least on their face, daily, no matter where they are but for a day at the Parks it is essential! I actually use this instead of foundation or powder, in the heat and it doesn’t ever look caked on!
Blotting Paper– This is really going to help when it comes to keeping your makeup intact and skin fresh. It’s something many of us keep in our purse just in case.
Lip Balm with Sunscreen– For the same reason your face needs sunscreeen, so do your lips. My lips get dry from time to time and more so in the heat. You can even get a tinted lip balm with sunscreen and it could act as a lip gloss!
A Small Compact– This one comes in handy when you are standing in a long line and want a quick touch up. No need to find the closest restroom to beautify. Make use of your time in those longer lines. Some people may comment to themselves (people like to judge) but I ignore them 🙂
Waterproof Mascara– This one is smart for two reasons. The heat can belt regular mascara and cause it to run BUT it is also handy if you are going on those water rides!
Mini Deodorant– I like to keep a travel size deodorant in my bag to use when I go to the restroom. No reason to get stinky in that excessive heat!
Perfume Sample– I like to go one further than deodorant and bring a small perfume with me to spray part way through the day. You can get the small samples at Sephora or any department store and it comes in super handy for moments just like this!
Water– You may wonder why I would list this but staying hydrated is essential to staying beautiful and fresh. Your skin will thank you!

the problem here is with the perfume: first, many people are allergic, so if you’re spraying yourself, you may get someone near you sick. Second, it’s not good to wear perfume in the sun. Some perfumes contain ingredients that are photo-sensitive and can stain your skin, while others are sensitive to the heat and will change scents on you. If you love perfume, please use it sparingly so the crowd of Disney lovers around you will not get sick, and please test it on a sunny day some other time so you don’t have an unmagical experience!
