How many times have I told you that I am a dress girl? I am not a leggings and tee shirt kind of fashionista. I prefer dresses. I have shared many different dresses that will make you feel like you are a part of the Parks in the past. Disney must have wanted to be a part of the action. Disney fashionistas will be rushing to The Dress Shop at Marketplace Co-op!
These dresses range in style from retro to current (The Minnie Mouse inspired dress reminds me of the one from Character Couture!). If you take a close look at the pictures above, you will see that these are outfits. The accessories even work with the look. Take note of the rabbit purse with the Alice inspired dress.
“We designed The Dress Shop collection for guests who want to emulate their favorite Disney characters or theme park attractions in a fun, retro way,” explained Donna. “These items aren’t costumes, rather the collection contains perfect outfits for guests who have a passion for Disney style.”
Isn’t that all Disney fashionistas look for on a daily basis? I feel like they were actually in my mind!
Clearly, Park Attractions are the inspiration for many of these looks. Nostalgia has very much come into play here. I have shared that Apple purse before but when paired with that dress…. fabulous!!! The Tower of Terror Dress with that bag is also darling (I can’t pull off the hat, though.).
“The dress styles are classic in design and contain incredible little details,” continued Donna. “Yet all the styles have modern fits which make them wonderful outfits to wear when visiting Disney Parks.”
It has been said that we will find outfits including nods to Disney attractions such as Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, “it’s a small world,” The Haunted Mansion, and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Minnie Mouse, Snow White and Alice. The matching accessories will also be released (if not already) when the shop opens.
Guests can view the entire collection when The Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane opens inside the accessories boutique at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs on March 31. There will be special activities that day and throughout the weekend to celebrate the new addition including a trunk show of vintage-inspired apparel. I will make sure to have a writer there to share all the experiences with you!
Select items from this collection will also be released on March 31 at Vault 28 in Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort. There will be a limited time offering of select items from the new collection beginning mid-April in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort.
As of this moment, these dresses will not be released online or on the Shop Disney Parks App at time of launch. The lucky fashionistas that are present at Disney Springs will be the ones with first dibs.
What do you think fashionistas? Are you as excited as I am about The Dress Shop? I may have to make a special trip! Let us know what you think in the comment box below!
