3 Examples of Disney World Educational Entertainment

It’s almost impossible to find anyone in the world who hasn’t heard of Disney or seen at least one of their many films. This burgeoning entertainment company has seen many decades of prosperity and is viewed as the best business oriented towards children. This has resulted in many students doing a paper on some aspect of Disney at one time or another.

For anyone who’s exploring educational aspects of Disney, it might not always be easy to find that perfect topic. With a little research, we dug up a few ideas, but if you need online essay help, Australian writing service sites like Edubirdie are the place to go. So here are some good topics for an essay on Disney World educational entertainment:

The Sound of Music

[source:https://www.thecinemaholic.com/the-sound-of-music-netflix/]

This 1965 film is considered a classic today and is regularly shown during the Christmas Holidays. What is never really considered is that the movie is more than just a good musical; it’s also based on a real-life story of the von Trapp family who really did flee Austria just before the start of World War II. The peaceful annexation of Austria did happen, and the family’s fleeing of the Nazi Occupation is real.

The fun and educational part of this story, which may become a great essay topic, is about what is factual and false in the film. But if you need a little more help on the subject, there’s always essay help online. A few points, as examples,  are the fact that the von Trapps didn’t hike over the mountains to flee fascism, but took a regular, old train to leave the country. Another point would be that Maria von Trapp didn’t come into a full family of kids, but actually mothered a number of them herself.

The World Showcase

This would be more in the field of geography of Walt Disney education, but it provides a great source of many topics for papers and is also a wonderful experience to have when at visiting Disney World itself. The World Showcase reflects something that has diminished in the 21st century: The World’s Fair.

World’s Fairs were once great exhibitions hosted by a nation every year when individual countries could show off the achievements of the past year. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, these fairs were attended by thousands and considered to be a major attraction. In recent years, however, they have lost the kind of attention they once garnered and are held biannually and with far less participation.

The great thing about the World Showcase, though, is that anyone can go at any time and see a permanent exhibit of no less than eleven pavilions celebrating the accomplishments of those nations.

The walk tends to go in a counter-clockwise pattern, so Canada is up first. Over the course of the walk, one can see the French, UK, Morocco, and Japan pavilions for some great educational information on different countries and then return to their hotel rooms.

Make sure to stop in at the Mexico exhibit, as what appears to be a simple museum is actually just a front for an incredible indoor scene of shops and restaurants all of which appear to be at the foot of a volcano!

Documentaries

Many think of cartoons and computer animation when they think of Disney, but this company has also invested its time in many informative and Disney world educational documentaries.

African Cats is a wonderful nature documentary narrated by Samuel L. Jackson and uses real-life footage of lions and cheetahs. This incredible film follows the trials and tribulations of two animal families.

Bears is another nature documentary devoted to the lives of a family of brown bears living in the coastal mountain range of Alaska. The film was incredibly well received and worth a watch.

Other documentaries to take in include Chimpanzee, Born in China, and Wings of Life. All of these educational films might present a lot of information to process, but essay writing help is readily available online if you need it.

All in all, after the years of existence, the world of Disney has a lot of educational things to offer, which relates to both their cinematographic works and the Disney World itself.
