As part of Disney’s magical Ultimate Princess Celebration going on now, ELLE and Disney have teamed up to honor 14 Modern Heroines. These real-life heroes and heroines embody the ideals of the Disney Princess including courage and kindness. These individuals embody Cinderella’s generosity, Belle’s ingenuity, Mulan’s selflessness, and Moana’s adventurous spirit!
The first four Modern Heroines will be featured in the September 2021 issue of the magazine, which releases on August 31st during Disney’s first World Princess Week, a week that celebrates courage and kindness around the world! After that, there will be monthly profiles through April 2022!
The first four Modern Heroines are:
Eva Longoria
Misty Copeland
Amanda Nguyen
Padma Lakshmi
In the feature, they discuss their proudest achievements, philanthropic endeavors, and how they incorporate lessons learned from Jasmine, Belle, Mulan, and Tiana into their lives.
