Today, we have big news delivered straight from the Rescue Aid Society! There is a The Rescuers Dooney & Bourke collection coming soon!
Okay, so we didn’t actually hear the news from the Rescue Aid Society. In fact, Disney Fashionista friend, Cindy Weathers, spotted this display during a visit to Hollywood Studios! We are sending a big THANK YOU to her for sharing the pics.
As you would expect, Bernard and Bianca are the stars of this pattern. However, there are some other characters in the mix as well including Evinrude the Dragonfly and Orville the Albatross. One thing I have always loved about The Rescuers is the use of the unique names! Now, I have another reason to love the film – this new collection! Covered in snapshots from the film, it’s a fantastic trip to nostalgia. Plus, my husband is a big fan of Bob Newhart (the voice of Bernard), so I might even be able to get him on board with the idea of me buying another bag.
So far, there are three silhouettes that we have seen for this collection and each one is amazing! The first is a compact crossbody style that is perfect for quick trips! Next, there is a fun cinch style option. I cannot tell if this is a backpack or bucket style bag, but either way, it’s fabulous! This one will retail for $298, which makes me think it’s a backpack style. Finally, there is a large shopper tote that is sure to be a big favorite among fans. This one will also retail for $298 and definitely gives you the most character coverage.
All of the styles are lined with a hot pink, adding a fun pop of color for summer. A black leather hang tag is included with all styles as well.
This collection is set to launch on Tuesday, May 31st at Uptown Jewelers in the Magic Kingdom. Of course, we will be keeping an eye out on shopDisney.com as well!
