Disney Cruise Line’s Newest ship, the Treasure, set on its Maiden Voyage on December 21, 2024. We had the thrill to sail on it in January and are bringing you all the details. For example, what adventures does the Grand Hall Behold on the Treasure?
Agrabah Themed Grand Hall
The Grand Hall is where you will enter the ship upon boarding. It is here the Cast Members will announce your arrival for all. “Disney Cruise Line Welcomes the Disney Fashionista Family!” As you enter the Grand Hall you step into a luxurious Agrabah themed area. Here you will see the iconic statue of Aladdin and Jasmine on the Magic Carpet as well as the Lamp. Speaking of carpets, notice how rich the colors and designs. Make sure to stop and take photos in this gorgeous setting!
The Chandelier on the Treasure
The Chandelier in the Atrium is a character in and of itself. Notice how it is surrounded by 6 smaller pendants. They represent the ships in the DCL fleet and each one is individual in design to reflect a separate Atrium statue. The Chandelier is interactive. Gather in the Grand Hall at 5pm to witness the transition to Arabian Nights. In the third picture above, take note, as Pixie Dust sweeps along the stairs and the lamp changes from day to night lighting. The theme from Aladdin plays and those with a MagicBand+ will feel the magic! Return at 10pm or Midnight to witness the “Kiss Goodnight.”
Adventure Games on the Treasure
Meet Coriander and Sage. They are the Treasure’s Unique Custom Characters with tons of personality and talent! Dressed in costumes native to the theme, this lively duo performs Trunk Show Stories for the entertainment of guests. They are also the host and hostess for fun adventurous games you can take part of. I thoroughly enjoyed partaking in the Jungle Cruise game.
Behold Characters in the Grand Hall
Character Meetups are just as popular onboard cruise ships as they are at the theme parks. The Grand Hall and the surrounding balconies are designated areas for character meet and greets. Check the DCL app for times and locations for photo opportunities in this gorgeous area.
