I am such a sucker for holiday themed ears. I have so many that sometimes it’s hard to make sure they all get worn during the short holiday season. So I love finding ears that are festive but don’t have to be packed away with the Christmas lights. These Snowflake Ears from Tinkears on Etsy fit that perfectly! The snowflakes give them a winter vibe instead of just purely a Christmas one, and they also double as Elsa ears!
A pattern of silver-foiled snowflakes against a snowy, white background forms the base for these ears. Embellishments of teal, iridescent white, and silver snowflakes add some extra sparkle, and the big, silver bow is just perfection! The colors are gorgeous and match the holiday decor at Hollywood Studios perfectly! In fact, a Cast Member at the studios asked if I had had the ears custom made to match the decorations! They are certainly spot on!
Even though I love Minnie ears and have quite a few, I often get headaches from wearing them. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this pair is. My Tower of Terror attendant had to remind me to take them off before the ride started; I had actually forgotten I was wearing them! The fabric-covered headband adds a little extra cushion too, making these easy to wear all day long! I was initially worried that the snowflake embellishments might come off the ears during park play time. I did take them off on rougher rides like Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, but during that time, they got jostled around in my backpack. The ears held up great and the embellishments never even loosened!
I enjoyed wearing these ears to the park so much! I got tons of compliments and felt very festive! I even matched the snow during Jingle Jam, Jingle Bam! But my favorite moment of the evening happened during my meet and greet with Olaf. He went straight for my ears and then pretended to melt! His attendant said, “Some ears are worth melting for.” It was adorable!
