Disney and Dooney and Bourke surprised us with yet another release this weekend! On Sunday, Mulan Dooneys popped up at Ever After Jewelry Co. in Disney Springs. With vivid colors, beautiful artwork, and truly functional designs, Mulan fans have a bag worth fighting for!
Unlike the other totes in the Dream Big Princess collection, this one features different artwork on the front and back. The front shows Mulan in her traditional dress while the back image shows her dressed as Ping. Mushu is on both sides. The bottom of the tote has Cri-Kee, my favorite character from the movie. This is such an adorable detail! The cherry blossoms found throughout the bag are absolutely gorgeous.
The tote has a lovely pink lining that coordinates perfectly with the cherry blossoms. The middle of the tote is open but has several organizational pockets along the sides as well as a key finder. It has a snap closure and retails for $268.
The crossbody bag has a smaller pattern of Mulan and Mushu against a background of varying shades of pink. This bag is similar on the outside to the foldover crossbody from the more recent releases, but the inside is completely different!
Instead of unfolding completely into one large bag, only the top unfolds. The main part of the bag has two zipper pockets and an open middle pocket. The middle section has closures on the side to keep all your belongings in place, and it has card pockets for handy access. There is also an open slot on the back that is perfect for a phone. This bag may be the most functional bag I’ve seen yet! It retails for $228.
The last silhouette in this release is a wristlet. It features card slots, two open pockets, and a zipper pocket! It retails for $128.
The tote and crossbody styles include a Dream Big Princess hang tag with Mulan’s signature. It also commemorates the 20th anniversary of the movie’s release.
As of right now, these bags are only available at Ever After Jewelry Co. in Disney Springs. If it follows their usual pattern, it will show up in the parks within a few days and the Shop Disney parks app shortly after that. What do you think of this latest bag? There were originally five bags slated for the Dream Big Princess collection. Unless that plan has been modified, this Mulan bag closes out the collection.
