I know many of you were skeptical when we told you about the new Funko Villains Cosmetic Collection coming to Ulta and I really can’t say that I blame you. We don’t think of Funko when we think of makeup. I am here to tell you that you need to think outside the box because this collection is wicked awesome!
Palettes
I’ll start with the eye palettes of which there are two. Maleficent and the Evil Queen both have eye shadow palettes with completely different colors so it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to buy both. The Maleficent palette is darker and bolder whereas the Evil Queen has a softer palette but still colorful. I bought the Evil Queen palette.
If Cruella is your favorite Villain, you may want to check out her blush and bronzer set. Cruella doesn’t have an eye palette or highlighter. This means she complements the rest of the collection and you can, in essence, add her to your purchase to complete your look.
I personally fell in love with the highlighter palette which belongs to Ursula. Tough Choices and Body Language spoke to me so this set came home with me, as well.
All of the above sets retail for $24.99.
Lipglosses
Let’s talk lipgloss. The colors listed from top to bottom are Ursula, Cruella, Evil Queen, and Maleficent. As you can see, on a redhead, fair-skinned fashionista, the Maleficent is all but shiny. It really had no color on me. These retail for $12.
Eyeliners
When it comes to eyeliners, I love to add color! I think that even a neutral eye can benefit from bold liner and this collection delivers in that department. The purple is Maleficent’s liner and it is a bright fun purple. Not at all what I expected but perfect! The aqua is Ursula’s which is so perfectly 80s. The black is actually a glitter black and this is Cruella’s liner. The gold is spectacular and this is the Evil Queen’s. These all retail for $10.
Makeup Brushes
I cannot tell you how difficult it was for me to choose which brush set to get. I seriously loved them all. Thought Cruella is my favorite Villain I ended up opting for Ursula because I couldn’t get past the color combination. I ended up with Ursula’s entire collection. These brushes retail for $24 and come with the matching case.
If you want even more info on the collection, I recommend watching the video below. I tried to touch on everything while I was in the store.
The Funko Villains Cosmetic Collection was originally supposed to release online September 15th, or that’s what we had been told. It appears the date has been bumped to October 6th for much of the collection. The brushes are available now, though. You can check it out HERE online. It is clearly in some Ulta stores already.
I am happy to say that this is also all not tested on animals and gluten free!
